prep information

I am so excited to meet you and your little one(s)! Below is my prep information.

Please bring the following:
- your critter(s)
- a few cups of small, high value treats
- favorite toys or activities (noisy is good!)

Prior to your session please have your critter exercised and pottied. Also, bring them hungry! I want them to work for their treats to keep their attention.

I'm happy to help with any specific questions leading up to your session so feel free to send me an email or text.

Studio

It's important that you arrive on time as there might be another session after yours. The building is animal friendly but leashes or carriers are required until you get up into my studio. Depending on their temperament we may take a few minutes to let them sniff, wander, and get to know me first.

Please be prepared to help with holding treats/toys to guide them for posing. There might be times where you’ll need to hold your critter if they are nervous. So please don’t be surprised if you end up in some final images!

Studio Address:

The Ford Building
2505 SE 11th Ave.
Studio #320
Portland, OR 97202

Parking & directions:

There's a parking lot directly behind the building (pay-to-park) along with free street parking in the area. If you have any issues parking and need me to come out to pick up your critter while you park, I'm happy to!
Once inside the Ford Building you'll take the elevator (down the hall) up to the 3rd floor. My studio (#320) is outside the elevator to your right. Come right in!

Outdoor

We should already have a tentative date/time for your critter's outdoor session, but sometimes if there's a drastic change in weather rescheduling might be necessary. We can stay in touch by phone or email leading up to the date. Please keep your critter leashed or in their carrier until we get to the photo location. Their safety is my #1 priority!

We should already have a tentative date/time for your critter's lifestyle session. This may be taking place in your home or at a local city park your critter plays at regularly. For in home sessions please tidy up and vacuum in the areas we may be photographing in so your critter is the main focus. Lift all window blinds/curtains and plan to have me near windows for photos.

Please be prepared to help with holding treats/toys to guide them for posing. Depending on the temperament of your critter we may take a few minutes for them to get to know me before I start photographing. There might be times where you’ll need to hold them if they are nervous. So please don’t be surprised if you end up in some final images!
